Article: If Children Lose Contact with Nature They Won’t Fight for It

I think this shows pretty good where we can start to change things – with the right education of our kids. It is time to realize that we are inevitably a part of nature and stop trying to act against the rest of the living community and insist on being the divinely appointed ruler.

A part of me wants to scream: abandon the cities, spread into the green lands and occupy the lands of big corporations and large landowners.
I realize that this might be too radical for most, but we have to take radical action if we want to survive as a species. Letting our kids get in touch with mother earth is only one important step on a long way to a better life in harmony with every other living species.
